Alyssa Farah Griffin is looking back at the mortifying moment she accidentally flashed Jude Law while backstage for The View.
The 36-year-old former White House staffer recalled her embarrassing encounter with the Fantastic Beasts star during a chat on Thursday’s episode of the show about LeAnn Rimes revealing that her teeth once fell out mid-performance.
“This isn’t quite the same, but I accidentally flashed my underwear to Jude Law backstage once,” Griffin said. “My mic pack fell down my dress so, at commercial, I run back and usually it’s either Rachel or Shauna, our female audio techs. It was Rachel. I flashed my skirt up so she could help me move it, and Jude Law’s just standing there.”

She added that Law didn’t say a word throughout their unique meeting — and that her further attempts to rectify the situation only made it more awkward.
“And then, in my embarrassment, I go, ‘I’m sorry, sir!'” Griffin recalled as her cohosts laughed. “Like, I made it worse by calling him sir! And then I maybe curtsied! It was brutal.”
While Griffin did not say when the incident took place, Law recently visited The View back in November to discuss his 2006 film, The Holiday, and his latest Star Wars series, Skeleton Crew.
Griffin is hardly the only View star who’s had to keep calm and carry on following a dramatic incident on the show. Sunny Hostin said she “almost died on set” last week after accidentally ingesting walnuts, to which she is allergic, in a meal prepared by former View cohost Debbie Matenopoulos on live television.
“I wrote a note to Alyssa. I was like, ‘I am deathly allergic to walnuts. Oh no,'” Hostin added of the snafu. “But guess what? The show must go on. That’s what you do, and that’s what LeAnn Rimes did. I give her credit for it.”

Matenopoulos told Entertainment Weekly earlier this week that she wasn’t warned of Hostin’s allergy and that she had screened all potential recipes for the show with its producers before her appearance.
“At one point we said we should do this peach walnut upside-down cake,” Matenopoulos explained, before adding that she told the staff, “God forbid someone would have a nut allergy.” She claimed that an unnamed producer on the show confirmed at the time that no one on the talk show had any food allergies.

EW later learned that the aforementioned producer was not aware of Hostin’s allergy because the legal expert hadn’t had an allergic reaction from walnuts in roughly a decade.
“She thinks I’m trying to kill her,” Matenopoulos joked. “I would like to go on the record stating I definitely was not trying to kill Sunny Hostin!”
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
